Without Sin

It's an Art Gallery in the making.

I'm a middle aged, childless, balding, slightly chubby around the middle, wrinkled man who is polyamorous, passionate, friendly and hates to use the phone. I laugh out loud, scream at god and chaos, cry quietly, and always always always believe that people are good and worthy. Except George Bush and his ilk. They're just evil.

And so I talked to my friend Tim about giving me a hand setting the cabinets in. He says he will and we just have to pick a time to get to it. He's pretty good at this sorta thing so it should go pretty well. We just have to figure out the puzzel of how they were taken apart!

In other news...... This weekend we're headed to Phoenix to pick up a Lockerbie pottery wheel. It's what I learned on and is my very favorite kinda wheel. I'm quite sure I'm going to love the Thomas Steward as well, and maybe even the little home built one in there. Time will tell with the last. It's kinda ......... invented.

So now I only need an extruder. Somewhere there is one that will go for not too much money, and that's a good thing as I may need to use my available money to help out a dear friend.

You'll have that you know.

Slowing down

Not a whole lot getting done this week. Had grand plans of cabinets and all kinda stuff this week. I did get the cabinets moved into the space, they just aren't set yet. And yesterday I was gonna get to the dump but that didn't work out because I ended up getting called in to work and was there all day in the snow.

And when the day job takes too much of my time I do need some down time so the studio/gallery waits.

The good news is all the machines are in there and I can throw if I feels like it. The pugmill needs a bit of a tune-up but I don't think that'll take very long at all.

Maybe this week. I do need to get a bunch of stuff made........

Machines

Roger has been busy. :) The kiln is wired in. The clay mixer is wired in. Two pottery wheels are assembled and plugged into the wall and all that remains for the pug mill to be ready is a table which Roger is gonna make up next week. The cabinets aren't yet moved in because there is a mud pit between the shed and the garage and I just don't want the whole thing tracked up and filled with mud beause I'm impatient.

NCECA is next week. We're getting trucks ready and clay ready and things set up to go. I'm going to miss my Laura a whole bunch next week. And she's not feeling well so that makes it just a bit harder.

We'll come back and get to work. There are fests to make shamelessly saleable things for. And several people want to learn to make clay stuff. I have no idea why they would want me to teach them. I'm really demanding.

We'll see how they do.
